Season 2 executive producer Kevin Wright shared his aspirations for season 3 and the longer-term destiny of the god of mischief during a discussion about the Disney+ Loki series' future.

To the surprise of his loyal viewers, the god of mischief is back on television, and Loki's second season just debuted on Disney+.

The season returns Loki, Mobius, and the Tribunal of Anachronic Variations (TVA) to full chaos as the foundation of their world begins to fall apart in the wake of the terrible events of season 1.

Even though season 2 has only recently begun, many Loki fans are interested in knowing if the show will have a third season. Dexerto.com had the chance to speak with executive producer Kevin Wright about the God of Mischief's potential role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The Marvel producer wants Loki to continue appearing in the MCU for another 12 years!

Seasons 1 and 2 are essentially "two chapters of the same book," as Kevin Wright stated when discussing Loki's destiny and a potential season 3. This explains why the creative teams made sure to wrap up season 2 in a way that won't leave viewers lingering. Then to say that this will not necessarily be a conclusive result:

Kevin Wright said, "What I mean is, there are other books on the shelf." Loki has been in the MCU for 12 years, and I would love to see him here for another 12 years with Tom [Hiddleston] to tell more stories."

Since Loki is on unfamiliar ground this season and the TVA and Sylvie story arcs seem to be just getting started, we were curious to see where this season will take Loki. Therefore, I believe there are undoubtedly many more stories to be told.

The possibilities for what Kevin Wright and his crew aim to accomplish in Season 3—or even more—seem boundless. Season 2 of Loki will focus more on the "multiverse" elements of the MCU.

You can always watch season 2, which has been airing on Disney+ since October 6, 2023, to keep up with the god of mischief's escapades while you wait for confirmation of these more tales.
