Because movie tickets were still significantly less expensive than they were prior to COVID, even though the situation had improved by the end of 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home, released in December 2021, was the first blockbuster to achieve noteworthy box office results.

However, Sony Pictures quickly announced that Venom 3 would really be made. The preceding opus, it must be said, closed with a crucial post-generic scene. There, Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock, the protagonist, was waiting to have some time by the water. He was always joined by his symbiote. However, the scene suddenly shifts while they are in a run-down hotel, and they find themselves in a new reality.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), J. Jonah Jameson's (J.K. Simmons) intervention that discloses Spider-Man's identity finally makes it to television. Venom has therefore altered reality, and Sony Pictures has thus created the possibility of a significant crossover between the two Marvel Comics heroes. Why does a third Eddie Brock-focused movie make sense?
